Ingredients:
- 2 cups Epsom salt
- 1 cup non-iodized sea salt
- 1 cup dead sea salt
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/4 ounce tea tree oil (optional)
- 1/4 ounce essential oil (optional)
- Food coloring
Step 1: Mix the sea salt, dead sea salt, Epsom salt and baking soda together well.
Step 2: Add tea tree oil if you want to use any. This has a medicinal smell and is good for fighting acne, killing fungus and a variety of other things. It is not required for a bath salt, but can be useful, especially for foot soaking bath salts.
Step 3: If you are going to use these bath salts in homemade potion recipes, now is the time to do it. Make adding the essential oil and food coloring part of the ritual. The essential oil should be added first and the food coloring should be very last and mixed thoroughly.
Step 4: At the end of the spellcasting, put the homemade bath salts into a fresh container and seal it tightly. It should remain sealed unless you want to access the magic or use some of the bath salts. To open it regularly will allow the magic from potion recipes to seep away slowly.
Bath salts and homemade magic potion recipe tips:
A good color is hard to get from bath salts when homemade, because the amount of coloring needed would risk tingeing or even staining the skin. A light color will be sufficient though. For example, if you have a tealish color instead of the rich, deep green you wanted, this will be okay. The Universe knows what you intended and did your best within safe, Earthly limitations.
Simply keeping a bottle of imbued bath salts near you will allow some of the magic to come off on you, must the same as imbued objects work.
A bath salts magic potion should be used about one week in advance of an event it was designed for. For example, if it’s supposed to relax someone before moving and place protection around them, bathing with 1 teaspoon of the bath salt one week before moving will allow the magic time to soak up without dissipating much.
If you have never used bath salts as a potion before, try casting wishing spells with your mixture. It is simple, safe and easy to do; a perfect practice spell.
